On October 27, 2013, I had the pleasure of shooting all day with the National Hockey Leagues (NHL) Edmonton Oilers Octane Cheerleading Team at the Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta. The Edmonton Oilers are the only Canadian NHL Team to have a Cheerleading Team. We shot a series of pictures at the arena for their 2014 Calendar. Fellow photographer, Kris Josef, was also there to shoot the cheerleaders. We had a great time working with the team, and with head cheerleading coach Dr. Mailie Harris. We got some great shots and had some laughs along the way. It was a true honour and pleasure to be part of such a great project. Photographer Anil Somaia was also there to take some amazing behind the scenes shots and help out. Below is some of Anil’s behind the scenes shots of me:
I cannot wait for the finished product! This was an amazing opportunity and a true pleasure to work for such a wonderful organization and great people.
All the best!
