Muscle Insider Magazine’s New Chief Photographer

I am extremely excited to announce that I have signed on as Muscle Insider Magazine’s Chief Photographer. As the Chief Photographer, I am responsible for shooting most of the magazine’s covers and inside content. This offers many more exposure opportunities for my clients, as the magazine is always looking for stock imagery, interesting features and workouts to publish online and in print. I am excited to join this great team of exceptional professionals, making it the best bodybuilding and fitness […]

How Did We End Off 2015?

Well, 2015 has come and gone really quick. We had a great year filled with many new things. We moved to a new, kick ass studio, StudioTwo22 in Toronto, which is attached to our new elite training facility, OTC Toronto. We developed some major relationships with some great magazines and media, which will make a huge impact for our clients in 2016. Were not done yet… We are working on some amazing things and opportunities to be revealed in 2016, […]

3 Things Fitness Models Can Do To Help Get Published

Almost every model that we have worked with has stated that they would love to get published into a magazine. I wish I could get everyone that we shoot published, but it’s not always possible. Getting published is a team effort between the model, the photographer and make up artists. The photographer can provide you with the pictures, and the make up artist with the proper make up looks for the magazines that you are submitting for, but there are […]

May/June 2015 Covers!!!!

May and June 2015 have turned out to be great months for us! Fitness expert, model (and my wife!), Nichelle Laus landed the cover of Women’s Health & Fitness Australia, making it the 5th cover out on newsstands simultaneously that we shot.     This week, Kristine Andali,  one of Canada’s Top Crossfit Athlete’s,  also landed the cover and editorial feature for SweatRX Mag, a crossfit driven magazine. Fitness coach, and Your BeautyFuel Food Recipe founder, Rita Catolino also recently […]

Want a competitive edge for magazine submissions?

We are always trying to make things better and easier for our clients. One of the things that most clients want as a goal is to be published. Working with various magazines, I submit photos of my clients to the magazines that I work with. Sometimes a magazine will like a model’s look and ask for them to come back and shoot a workout for a feature. But what if we were to be one step ahead on this?  What […]

3 Reasons A Professional Photoshoot Comes with a Price

Often I’m contacted by models looking to see if I am willing to do a photoshoot for them at no cost, in exchange for using them as a model for my own portfolio or submissions. This is also known in the industry as “Time For Print” of “TFP”.  Although I love to shoot beautiful people, this is just not feasible. If you are serious about getting good professional photos, whether its for your your own portfolio, social media, website or […]

2014 Inside Fitness Magazine Hot & Fit

The much anticipated 2014 Inside Fitness Magazine Hot & Fit 100 issue is currently out on shelves. Throughout the year, most models that shoot with us throughout the year tell us that they want to shoot Hot & Fit submissions. For 2014, we had 96 models submissions by our team alone. There were over 1000 model submissions in total to the magazine, so you can imagine what a task it is to select the top 100. Congratulations to all those […]

Are models being taken advantage of?

At the start of every shoot, I like to ask the model what their goal of their shoot is. It is then my job to direct the shoot towards achieving my client’s goals. I would probably say that 99% of my clients tell me their goal is to be “published”.  As much as I would love to get everyone I shoot published, it is just not possible. Magazines have different marketing needs and not everyone fits the “look” or “style” […]

5 Things You NEED To Do To Prepare For Your Photoshoot

Whether you are a first time model, or a pro in front of the lens, preparing for your photoshoot will make all the difference in the final package of your pictures. One of the most popular questions I get from a model when they book with me is “what should I do to prepare?“. Valid question of course, especially to someone new to a photoshoot. My goal as a photographer is to give you an overall “experience” during your shoot. […]
